Fabulous tips for your Wedding day!

Big fat Indian weddings give a chance to go all out! Brides work out every detail months, if not years in advance. But I feel nails are the only part that suffers.

So, before you let your make-up artist do anything to your nails, look at the inspirational images below and weigh your options!

Go minimal to focus on your mehendi.

Match your outfit with shades of red and maroon.

Add jewels to your nails to truly dazzle!

The most important thing to remember is that you should look complete, composed and elegant on the whole.

I personally love this gem stone style of nail art, with probably a gold outfit and Emerald jewelry…. What do you think?

What to wear to your South Indian friend's wedding?

Weddings are hard enough without the added pressure of going to a South Indian friend’s wedding, where all our usual Punjabi outfits are a big fail! It’s sad, but true. So, here a few outfits that you can try!

Wear a simple silk saree with Gold border.

Add flowers to your hair, just like the decorations!

Layer gold jewelry

Finally, smell your best with a floral fragrance!

Wedding looks to try this

At one point of time in our lives we have all succumbed to the notion that heavy Indian wear requires heavy make-up to go with it. Sadly, that is not necessarily true. If you are the bride, or the bride’s bestie; you can definitely pick out a look to flaunt this wedding season!

Defined features
When you chose to wear a bright color such as blue, orange, hot pink or red, it is a good idea to let the color do all the talking and you simply define your best features with a subtle sheen on the lids, long lashes, rosy cheeks and glossy lips. Maybe not for your wedding, but you can rock this look for your sangeet or reception.

Lip love
We all love a bright red, pink or a wine tone for our lips, but when it comes to weddings, it’s best to pair them with lined eyes rather than colored shadows. For an overall bright look, you can opt for shiny shadows in shades of gold, bronze and subtle glitter. A light smoky eye, executed perfectly works wonders for this look.

Colored Lids
Sometimes going matchy-matchy is the way to go for bridal make-up. The key is to keep everything else muted. Turquoise, blue and sea-green tones look great on the Indian skin tone, along with deep pinks and browns.

Metal Maven
This sounds very western, but Indian women have been in love with metal since ages! Be it the subtle gold for a Bengali bride, blended gold for the timeless bride or bold silver for the modern bride.

Bachelorette
What’s a bride without a fun bachelorette party?! Try a heavy metallic smokey eyes for a late night party, or a crystal studded eye to look like the Princess you are!

Whichever look you decide to flaunt, just remember, your wedding is your day. Look your best, feel great and enjoy!

What Happens after the Hen Party?!?!

A party to celebrate being single is single handedly the most important part of any marriage, but, it’s not the party we remember the rest of our lives, it’s the missing hours we recall every once in a while and the very next day we can’t forget!!!

Let’s Go through the phases of the Party Night and the Next Day in General-

1.       Like all other things, it always starts with some harmless fun and drinks!!!

2.       Then the party is all fireworks and a few hours of sheer moments of joy!!!

3.       Then comes the insomnia; the blank phase of party, you so clearly enjoyed with good spirits that they refuse to be summoned.

4.      The next morning pretty much tastes like a bag full of regrets and in a word, Death! Followed by the horrible morning you are witnessing you swear never ever-ever again in your life!!!

5.       The day is then followed by a series of steps with future promises, that honestly will not be kept *Face Palm* basically you are Dory!!!

6.      And so you accept this is life and you keep on swimming, walking, running, or whatever can get you through the day!!!
